Hello! My name is Chandra,
and I have recently decided to go after my dream of living a simple life in the country. Now, I am a suburban girl through and through. I love convenient stores, canvas shoes, quick shopping, and the ability to drive 10 minutes up the street to a local drug store for meds and snacks! I own a 2008 Lexus Es350, so I Love smooth(paid off) rides lol. I love that I can drive with my gas hand on a quarter tank of gas and not being alarmed because I know there are gas stations on every corner. I love getting mani-pedis, facials, and massages. I love getting to where I’m going fast. So, why in the world would I want to move to the country?
Well, there are two side to me. Chandra the extrovert and Chandra the Introvert. Trust me, you can be both. I love God. I love people, I love being around people. I love getting together with family and friends. I love my dogs, and I absolutely love and adore my husband Darius of 25 years, and being where ever he is.
I love to talk, and I love helping people. I also love listening to other people’s stories. I love reading, and I love writing. I love a good Bible study, and discovering new truths and revelations in God’s word. I am a Minister, called to share God’s Word. I am a writer/Author. I love new experiences. I don’t desire to be the center of attention, but don’t embarrass too easily.
I love my “me” time, and I need a lot of it to do what makes my soul feel alive. I love peace. I love having a clear mind and a clean heart. This is really hard to achieve when there is so much going on around you, and you have a ton of responsibilities.
I’ve always felt like I was destined for a simple life. Beach or Country, I knew one of them would be my destiny. My husband is more of a city person. He loves urban areas. If I would agree to a city vacation every year, that would have been just fine with Him! But for me city vacations go by way too fast. Beach vacations and nature getaways seem to stand still I love them!
Life is like a city vacation. It’s go, go go, everyday all day. Hustle here and hustle there. We all seem to be grinding our lives away, and I need this train to slow down.
I don’t know a whole lot about how country life works, but I am about to learn, and I’m going to share it with you!
We are all down here trying to figure out what our next step is suppose to be, and I believe this is mine, and I want to see where it leads us…
May the Lord grant us grace, strength, and wisdom through this next phase in our lives.
Chandra
