Part 1 MH Set up

Okay Yall! Part one of the mobile home set up process, it’s pretty technical. They are very meticulous with leveling the home, and securing it to the concrete runners, pier and beams.

They then go around and seal up any cracks that may have happened during transport. It was over a two hour drive, and that’s a lot of rocking! LOL.

Once I confirm that everything looks good on part one I sign off, and they leave.

Then we start with plumbing, electrical, and the septic system. Once all of this is done it passes an inspection we move to the finish out. . I’m praying things don’t slow down too much here, but the more contractors you have you never know).

on Part two, the dealer sends their crew out to inspect the home and finish out the inside trim, and out side trim. This includes drawers, cabinets, molding, wall trim, etc.

They will then close up the bottom of the house to make it look seamless from top to bottom to make the house flush to the ground. You can put whatever you want around the bottom to close it in, of course the cost is a factor. I want to put faux stone around it in the future, but it may not be necessary because of the wrap around porch that is going to be added it might block the stone.

I am also going to go with residential landscape after the porch is added so it’ going to look so different when everything is done. I’m excited to see how it turns out!

Question, would you ever live in a mobile home? Yes, no, maybe? Let me know in the comments!

See yall in the next post.
